Trevenque - Could be my favourite mountain
So you would have thought after a cold day up Veleta we would have had a day off . . . but no we went up another mountain, a smaller one admittedly due to bad weather on the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
We headed off to Trevenque (2079m) and arrived in time to see [...]
A very cold day up Veleta
We had a very cold day walking up Veleta this week. We arrived at the car park to find it under snow but sunny, within minutes of leaving the car the sun disappeared behind clouds and never came out again that day. We put on snowshoes as the snow was so deep we couldn’t walk [...]
2 day trip into the wintery Sierra Nevada
So off go the 5 of us happy campers for a 3 hour walk in to the Caballo Refugio. We intended to use tents to sleep in and use the hut to socialise in. As it turns out the walk in took 5 1/2 hours in deep snow. By the time we got to the [...]

Desert Walk
Had a good day yesterday walking in the desert of Tabernas near Almeria. 2 clients of Spanish Highs wanted to take photos of the fantastic scenery in the desert. We were out for 6 hours in the hot hot weather. Below are a few pictures that were taken.

Knocking off the 3000m peaks
Khumbu and Bruno have added another summit of the 3000m peaks here in the Sierra Nevada to their list. Cerro de Caballo stands at 3009m high above Lanjaron, the lowest of the peaks. It was rather warm for us all but a great day enjoyed in the mountains. They now have 3 ticked off, Mulhacen [...]
