This is the end of the onions, they have spent a few weeks drying in the sun and this morning we have strung them up. No need to buy any more for a while!

This is the latest picture of some of our onions. I have dug these up so that I can plant some more even though we still have another plot of them growing, we use so many of them! These lot have been put out to dry, never done it before but im sure it cant [...]

How can Bruno, who has teeth like a rabbit, turn his nose up at this our first carrot! Ok so I pulled it up by accident, I thought it was a weed!!! Im still learning. . . . At least the onions are doing better.
It’s that time of year again. The waters from the snowmelt of the high Sierra Nevada are flowing strongly. Soon this will end, and from mid-June to October or November we can expect little irrigation water. So the time is ripe for all good “camposinos” (country workers) to water their lands before the summer droughts. [...]
