Unfortunately the call of the street was too much for Chico and he has gone back to his old life.

He settled in well but after dinner he was fretting terribly, tearing down the fences, trying to push his way through a fence with a huge drop on the other side and the final point was when I caught him under a gate that he couldn’t fit under and I was worried that he would re-open his wound. So we drove him back down to town where he instantly relaxed, ran around saying hello to all his friends and then went on to his next bar. He did turn up again before we left and tucked into some lamb chops but when we left he was gone.

At least he has 2 collars now, one to help protect against the sandflys and Leishmaniasis and an id collar, which happens to be in the Andalusian colours, so  fingers crossed no more mishaps for him. I will post more about him as I would like to get him micro-chipped and castrated, but will have to wait until the heat of the summer has gone for the castration. I have also found out what happened to him, a Spanish man who owns a local bar, threw coffee machine boiling water on him and then proceeded to kick him!!! What mentality do some of these people have, no animal deserves such cruelty.

Ive attached the last few photos I took of him at home and as you can tell he was soooo relaxed.

Arhhh, thats horrible what that bar owner did, someone should go do it to him and see how he likes it. He should have bit him in the privates!!!! There is little education about animals in the spanish community as you see many stray dogs wandering about looking lost and skinny.
