Why is it that cleaning usually falls to the woman? How come today I spend about an hour cleaning the inside of the aga in an attempt to stop it smoking but for my hard work I still have a smoking aga and I got to look like a chimney sweep for a while!
Then an hour or so later its me who goes to clean the acequia (that is a natural waterway that runs through the land for irrigation) as the neighbours land had slipped into it due to the awful weather we have been having here. Where was he? Where was my other half? Just me, Khumbu and Bruno and they were not much help either. But at least next time it rains the acequia should run freely.
