Well the time came for Tapa to finally say goodbye to a part of his anatomy. He was not very happy about it but is back to his usual self bouncing and barking.
The vet turned up, Khumbu, Bruno, Rocky and Richard were locked outside. Tapa was weighed, 8.4k, the injection drawn up, muzzle put on Tapa, apparently the injection can hurt, he was injected, he yelped, I guess it does hurt, then the waiting game started! It took 20mins for Tapa to finally fall asleep, he fought it very hard but he couldn’t win. The operation was done, and he was laid on the floor to wake up, this took a good hour and when he did come round and try to walk his back legs were not working properly so it was quite amusing for us to watch. Hopefully in a few weeks he will not try to dominate Bruno and pull his hair out, yes the smallest dog dominates the biggest dog!!
Here are a few pictures of Tapa whilst he was under his anesthetic, looks just like a gremlin.
