As most people who know me are aware Tibet is a country close to my heart. Im asking for you to help make a statement on the 8th August at 1pm, wherever you maybe, whatever you maybe doing, light a smoke signal and dye the sky red, all you have to do is release red smoke, take a picture and send it to Sad Smoky Mountains. Take a look at their website and read a little about what people have been up to, see pictures and videos of the happenings of the 1st ignition. 159 mountains around the world were lit with red smoke on the first ignition which was during the 1st ten days of May, as this was when the olympic torch was expected to reach the summit of Mt Everest, which the Chinese closed off to make sure that there were no interupptions from Tibet supporters, now thats another story. Now they are asking people to do this no matter where they are.

I think this is a great idea to help make a statement to our governments. You can also light a red candle on 7th August if you are not into the red smoke, it will show your solidarity to the people of Tibet. For more information on this check this website out candel4tibet.org.

For information on the Tibet problem and ways to help visit the Free Tibet website

One final website to mention for information and support is Mounteverest.net.

Please do try and help by lighting something red.
