Much excitement on our mountain yesterday, we had a fire just above our house!! The first we realised anything was wrong was when the helicopter flew very low over our house with the water bucket attached below it and then the sirens went off to warn people he was about to drop the water.
The helicopter dropped water about 11 times and was followed by a plane dropping some red stuff which was very spectacular to watch but I didnt get a picture of that (sorry). We were just praying that the wind didnt bring the fire down to our house.
The Spanish are very practised at putting fires out and so after an hour or so the helicopter and plane went and about 9.45pm the fire brigade and forestery workers left for home to.
I have a bit of video but im not sure how to put it on here until Richard shows me so keep an eye out for it.
